Our Bell casting process is
fundamentally the same process used through the history of bell making.
That is, a pattern bell is first sculpted in clay or wax Every detail
that will be in the final bell, including relief iconography,
inscriptions, and decorative designs, is carved into this pattern bell
which is then used to make the final mold into which molten bronze is
poured. Though we are using what is basically an ancient process we have
applied lessons learned in contemporary fine art casting and metallurgy.
Thus, we have been able to avoid the failed castings which have
historically been part of bell making.
